Recently, I did a complete re-gasket and re-seal on my inline 6 Mariner 115. I learned a few lessons I thought I would pass along........
Thank you everyone here for the advice!
Keep a detailed list of every wire removed (mark every wire) and keep a list of every bolt and bracket removed. When it comes time to re-assemble it will be very helpful. I can not tell you how many times brackets were bolted on and then removed again (kept my son and I laughing about it).
Take lots of digital photos as you take things apart (they are cheap) and it will help on the orientation of parts.
If you are working on an inline 6 take a moment to swear and moan about the placement of the middle carb flange nut! LOL
Do not "bull and jam" anything..... it all goes together and comes apart fairly easy.
Remember once again........ to thank everyone who has helped out!!
