Well looks like we have locked two threads lets try for three, lets talk BASEBALL. Where will your favorite team bee next fall? Being a lifelong Cardinal Fan i,m rooting for the Cards and here comes the Bbbig Bbbutt, we lost some pretty good pitchers and of course the other teams in our division picked up some of our best pitchers.Boo /hiss the Brewers, and on top of that last year most of the teams in our division beat on us like we were a drum, in a high school band. Of course, and this is far form minor we managed to win the World Series, Heee, Hee,.So lets here it .

Re: Lets Talk Some Baseball.

There's a perfectly good NASCAR thread here. Why in heck would we talk Baseball before the Daytona 500? March 1 at least. How's that for fight pickin'?

I hate the DH, the balk rule and the infield fly rule. Other than those three it is a perfect game . . .

... its a perfect game ... except for thos e three, and the over-priced cry babies that play it, and the owners that manipulate it, and the steroids and other drugs, and ...

Yep, pretty much the perfect game :$

Now, back to the NASCAR thread ... 8)

Sure would be nice to see the tigers again next fall. Sure glad that we don’t have to face Rogers on a steady basis in our division.:% I believe that the Tigers have made a good decision on their center field, looks like Granderson is one of the best, of course we have the best Jim Edmund's.8)

I hope he was properly Winterized . . . He definitely plays hard, but that guy's block'll crack if you look at him cross-eyed.

(Poor attempt at a boating reference/metaphor type deal that alludes to his fragility)

That's another thing about baseball ... imagine a quarterback that only complete 1/3 of his passes, or a receiver that dropped 2 out of every 3 passes thrown to him. Image at work that you failed on 2 out of every 3 projects you were assigned! Do you think your boss would offer you 5 million dollars a year for that type of performance? I doubt it! So why in baseball?

With a 133 batting average he would probably be playing in Pittsburgh.8)

I play rounders you insensitive British snob. The girls hate it when I barrell into them at home plate . . . If they don't wanna get dirty they should stay home!!

Anybody could foul off a ball with a flattened stick. Hitting it behind yourself doesn't count in "the Game". Try actually aiming the ball and hit it with what is comparably a toothpick . . . Your turn.

If we're talking real men, whats with having to wear a big glove to catch the ball, real men use thier bare hands:^. Yes it hurts but we can take it.8).
