This is the most optomistic I have fet about my favorite team in a LONG time. For the first time in my lifetime I can probably say that with the talent we have, simply making the playoffs will be a failure. Thanks for the Pitching Tree.....8)

You got a good pitcher in Suppan, sure wish we could have kept him, but that’s free agency. He needs good infielders, a lot of grounders off of him. We have only two regular pitchers left, have a lot of good rookies and Wells, [gasp] it seems that he labored for the Pirates for about 4 plus years coming to camp, well we have got Dave Duncan our pitching coach, he has a history of taking other teams cast offs and making them pearls, maybe he can do it with Wells as well. Other than that it seems that we will have a scrum for about at least three pitching spots on our roster. The way it is looking from my vantage point is the Brewers is the team to beat in what used to be called Comedy central.

Cant see where the Cubs improved much, as for Houston, sorry but there getting a little long in the Tooth. Of course you never know, look at the regular season record that the Cards had last season, and went on to win the series, thats what makes baseball so much fun to me.

I read where Eddie Feigner died recently.

For those that don't know he was the "King" in the "King and his court" A fastpitch softball pitcher who wouid. with a four man team, take on all comers---usually winning.

I saw him play one time in Seattle. The guy was awesome!

Re: Lets Talk Some Baseball.

In my younger days used to play a lot of baseball, fair hitter if it came near the strike zone could most of the time get a piece of it. A buddy of mine said lets try out for this fast pitch softball league, I thought why not I had played slow pitch and that balls a he11 of a lot bigger that a baseball, big mistake. That ball looked like it was coming out of the ground at me at about a hundred mph,by the time I swung at the ball the catcher was getting ready to throw it back to the pitcher. :%
