Re: Liberal Iowa State University
Pony, They want to march, let em march. It is a liberal mindset that believes meaningless actions produce expected results. Then they twist reality to make us believe that red is blue. Lets take abortion. They first say it is a right. Then a health issue, then anyone who doesn't agree is some kind of right wing religious zealot. Killing the unborn by jamming a needle into someones brain and sucking it out. This is a "health issue" all right, but not for the mother.
Lets take a look at the environmental movements attack on global warming. First only a handful of countries, those already doing something on their own, are actually "required" to do something based on Kyoto. Russia, China, India, no rules at all. In fact they can sell their old factories run from coal to say the Germans. They update to natural gas or even just knock them down and get a Carbon Credit so they can pollute more in their country. The Chinese in turn build another coal fired plant knowing that there is actually a benefit to them as these "credits" can now be sold, by selling the new coal fired plant. Al Gore, godlike visionary to the dupped, says this is OK. This is how the second tier countries can catch up to the developed nations. Now what in the he11 does economic policy have to do with the fact that the earth is going to fry itself in 10 years if we don't drop emmisions? This doesn't drop emmisions. But it certainly does feel like communism.
Look it is either "Earth in the Balance" or it is isn't. Whether 2 million tons of CO2 comes from China or they can "sell" it and let it come from Germany it is irrelavant. We are all going to die, if you listen to the whack jobs in charge of this little rabble. Why is it ok to drive an Expedition in China but we have to further pollute the planet and drive a Prius? Why are the tennents of Communism so prevalent within the environmental movement? Where in the constitution or bill of rights does it say it is ok to take away personal freedoms to further AlGores little agenda? Hey I love the fact that people are doing their best to clean up their little end of the planet, just don't tell me how to keep mine. BTW, I have high efficiency furnace, programable thermostat, a whole bunch of those lowsy florescent lightbulbs, hi effeciency water heater, timers on almost all lights, newer automobiles in perfect running condition. But hey, I got a weber grill and a bag of Kingsford, toss my butt in the clink.
Pony, I look forward to hearing your position when your next McDonalds trip costs you $6.48 and 4 AlGore carbon credits. Carbon credits, what a scam, the currancy of control. The weak are willing to trade freedom for "fairness". I'm not.
