have an 89 Bayliner Trophy,89 125 Force fitting on the starboard lift cylinder was leaking , attempted tightening ,very light force applied,fitting crumbled.( fitting is a very light metal, pot metal?) Is held in place with a steel band. Not sure how to go about replacing? can I remove the band and just thread new fitting into cylinder ? Not even sure I can find correct fitting, does not look like a common fitting?
