If that is in your budget I'd say hurry over and take a good look. But I think you've found a winner!

Honestly after looking at it again I think if it were me I'd be hard pressed to even try to bargin them down. Looks like that are asking a very fair price.

Well I can translate the basics :
The boat is 2002 : 14 WideBody Bench Overview - Legend Boats
The engine is 2002 Merc 25hp electric start
The trailer is an easy load for 14-16 foot boat in galvanized steal, also 2002

The boat has around 90 hour of use

all maintenance were done by the book

There's a 10 gallon aluminium "fish tank"

It come with life vest, anchor, sonar, fuel tank, the cover to protect it from rain.

Yup....lots of Craigslist/kijiji lurkers out there, just waiting to snap up deals.

If you're the type to have to mull things over before purchasing.....you'll get sniped every time. Know what you want...and when you see an ad you like....go see the item(boat) immediately, if not sooner.

When I see something I want, I'll drop what I'm doing and go see it immediately(if seller will allow it)...doesn't matter if it's evening, Sunday, or a holiday.

I sniped my 1977 Evinrude 75hp 20 mins after the ad was placed. I drove 90 mins...immediately after I talked to the seller by phone. The motor had only 50hrs on it...and was sold to me for $200(including controls and spare prop). Doubtful the motor would have been there had I waited another hour to go see it.

Well I was suppose to go see the boat after diner, but it was sold just before....

There's a snow storm right now, who knew a boat would sell so fast in a snow storm :)

Yup....there's the problem....you waited to go "after dinner". If a killer deal shows up....you gotta be ready to get in your car immediately. It sounds extreme....but it's the truth.

The urgency isn't so extreme on regular ads...but when a seller has something UNDERpriced or the item is rare....the vultures pounce quickly.

....And true "bottom feeders"(I belong to this club), will still try to negotiate a lower price even when the original price is stupidly low.

Yeah I know what you mean, I actually negotiate the price higher when I was selling my motorcycle, used it 2 years, sold it for 2 grand more than I paid.

The boat is just bought was listed for $450 (boat and trailer) for 3 weeks....I used that fact(in my head) to negotiate. Seller didn't live in a populated area either, so lazy buyers probably couldn't be bothered to drive 70miles to go look at it and trailer it home.

I drove to the seller...and ended up walking away from the deal because of the holes(for livewell system) in the boat. Owner didn't mention them when I called about boat. He ended up texting me and accepted my $200 offer.

shingo, the picture I posted of that Lund was found on graigslist and posted for sale @ $395.00 there was no engine, the carpet was shot, trailer had a flat tire and there were small trees growing in it. I seen the ad with the picture, it was posted @ 10:30pm. on a Sunday night. I seen the ad @ 6am Monday morning, called at 7am and was there to see it at 7:45am. @ 8am I handed him the $395.00 he was asking for it and there was already some one else there ready to buy it if I didn't! This is what it looked like when I brought it home.

Get yourself a porta bote, they fold up, are light, and very sturdy, hard to tip over and used you can usually get one well on craigslist i have seen them for $200 if you are patient.

Porta-Bote also known as Portabote, Portaboat. Folds to 4 inches(11cm) Flat

new they cost over 1k. but used they are a great buy, portable boat, like i said, they fold in half and lay flat.

by the way my name is Terry and live in the northwest. you won't be disappointed with this boat. very light weight, my neighbor owns one and he is old and can load it by himself easily.

seen your post and had to add my 2 cents.

good luck

Are aluminium fishing boat really lighter than fiber glass?

I want a 12 footer that weight around or less than a 100 pound

I saw a few fiber glass model in that size of around a 100 pound but couldn't get the size of the aluminium one.

I'm currently browsing in the used market.

I want to pay around 500$ for the boat without engine.

Also, if I want to put the boat on top of my car alone, what do you think should be reasonable as far as the weight is concerned?

Thank you
