Anybody know where I can find an old Glastron Scimitar? They built them in the early 80's. I want one that needs HELP!<br /><br /> Scimitar

Looks like an AMC JAvelin, with the t-tops off a T/A.

that looks like one heck of a collectible boat. i love it! mine wouldn't be stock for long though, cause if it had all that wind protection, it's just begging to be closed in on the sides too. :)

Good luck finding one. They are highly sought after, and I have not seen one go for cheap. I see them go for eight grand or more in okay shape. They are cool boats, I would like to find one too. Not very usefull, but they can be fast if you massage the Ford 302, or drop in a built 351. There are more pics and info here. Those boat must be a pain at the boat ramp, it would take two or three people.

Hey Trent....just took a look at the pictures.....what reasons would you need to want another boat???? Just look at the boat and I see all the reasons in the world....and I ain't an I/O fan neither. :D :D

I remember seeing the chase that this boat was used in. He got to a waterfall and relased the hatch, then he let the boat fall and flew away on a glider.

The Scimitar was originally designed for the movie (Glastron has a long history with Bond, espicially in Live and Let Die), but as I understand the story, enough people called Glastron to as about the boat that they made a production run of it. The really interesting part isn't the T-Tops, it's the power adjustable seats. I believe the head of the TN chapter of the CGOA has a Scimitar witha 350 chevy. May have a blower as well since I think he blew the outdrive last year.<br /><br />Good luck finding one, they are very cool.

I haven't seen one in person, but when watching the movie I learned my dad has.<br /><br />He saw one in Florida in around 1980.
