Re: Like no other!

Yeah, I bought my SC because of this forum. I was looking in to an aluminum boat, looking heavily at a crestliner and a Lund and then I found you all!

Was out all afternoon on the boat today and we were jumping in and swimming from the boat. My 2 and 5 year old LOVED it!

I always look for new ideas and run things by you folks because your all, as stated, willing to help and give your honest opinion!

Thanks

Chiuck

Yah but look at all the fun you are having rebuilding that old rig man! Shoot, most guys just take their boat out and drive around all day on the lake, chasing fish, pulling tubes, cruising, swimming, skiing, having fun with their family, you know stuff like that. They don't even get to think about all this stuff like rust, rot, dust, mold, dirt, blood, sweat, tears! Yah baby look at all the fun we are having! Hahahhhhaaaa, now who has the last laugh!!!:D:D:D:D

Oh wait, uh, hmmm. Yah, nevermind:facepalm:

Love you to man!!!:)

We'll get there buddy. We'll get there....

And when we do, we'll know our boats better than 99.99999% of the other captains on the water.

I think we've been snookered here guys. Think about this; a few guys are looking to increase their traffic in the Starcraft forum. They get some ringer to do a restoration, the Liquid Limo is born. Take a few pictures of the resto, make it look like the common man can do this at home. Sprinkle in a few brochures and pretty soon their little forum starts to take off.

I'm not saying they had any ill intent here. Kinda like the old folks home, a little lonely and once you're there, they're nice as pie and don't want you to leave. Let Grammy help you with that rotten transom, and while we're at it let's do that floor.

I'm not mad I got snookered, I actually think it's going to work out for me. Have you priced out a Fishawk lately, yikes. I'll have a classic that is done up right and pretty reliable for a fraction of a new or used boat. My son loves working on her too. Come to think of it there's really no minuses here.

Who wants a Starcraft Classic and some cookies? Tell Grammy what ails your boat. We'll fix it.

Into the scotch Bwana? Pour me one too!
Honestly...
This would be the most extreme iboats/starcraft conspiracy ever..Maybe you can write the screenplay for Terratino?
Our bud North Beach jumped into his restore about the same time a bunch of us old timers got started. He had acess to more funds than the average guy, plus the equipment on hand to get it done.

Re: Like no other!

Wow, Jason belongs to a paddling forum? You think you know someone, hmm.

I belong to;
CNCzone (metalworking forums, mainly CNC & Cad)
Lake st clair network (fishing/boating)
Hotrodderrs.com (I WAS going to build a cool rod till you Jamokes hi-jacked me)
Fiberglassics (old finned boats and old motors, I see Chinewalker there)
Paddle your spouse and spice up your marrige.org
IwishIcouldwritescreenplays.com

I'm doing Linkedin also. (proffesional networking & JOBS)

This is my favorite though. For my invraverted personality to get over 800 posts in less than 2 years is a lot.

The cookies were just a METAPHOR, there are none. Sorry to get you worked up.

Come for the help, stay for the brotherhood!

I have nothing to add to these sentiments, except that Kev is now officially in charge of developing mottos and slogans;)

Seriously, this place is a godsend for non-mechanically inclined low-budget shade-tree naval architects like myself.

I often wonder what my boats would look like in a parallel universe where iboats does not exist.:D
