Please define link and sync. I see it on here many times.
It's the short term for setting up the throttle linkages, ignition timing and carb synchronizations...
Outboard engines have some, all or any of the following requirements:
Maximum timing
Primary pickup (of carbs) timing
Secondary pickup (of carbs) timing
Idle speed
Timing pointer set up
Doing 'link and sync' is adjusting (or just checking) these settings.
