Does this have to be done with every carb kit?
what exactly changes when you remove carbsAll linkage
get put back the same way it disconnected.
What changes?

Does it HAVE to be done...no, but issues with poor throttle response can arise that can make you second guess your carb work. I routinely do the sync and link after removing a carb. After a carb build,it takes just a few seconds to check for proper throttle plate movement with the spark advance cam. BTW, not every replaced carb goes back to exactly the same position on the intake manifold.
