Mercury manual calls for re-covering switch box terminal connections with liquid neoprene. Saw this online 8 oz for $60. Is there a NAPA or hardware store alternative to this maybe available in smaller less expensive sizes that is just as good?

How about some liquid tape? It will seal the connections and is available pretty cheaply as well.

I got some liquid electrical tape for $8 at radio shack a while back. Some auto parts places have it also.

If all you are really trying to do is keep the connections from corroding, you can use near about any type spray paint to cover them as well. Even clear lacquer spray paint will work. JMHO!

Thanks all, I picked up some liquid tape (red, $6 for 4 oz) at Home Depot electrical aisle, this afternoon.

Hardware store carries liquid tape for about $6 near me. Or spray automotive undercoating in the rattle can for about $4.
