Got a 87' Regal Medallion w/3.slow engine...call it a P.I.T.A Project

I have googled and googled for info on this boat, cant seem to get anything, except the Engine Manual.

The reason iam asking is, because I want to see what the original console looked like, all the guages are gone, along with most of the rocker switches.
and fuses that look like "miniture" rocker switches..anyone know where I can get those fuses??

One rocker switch right next to the ignition has no markings...what is it?

If you have a picture of the console or can direct me to a link that would be great!

Any help would be appreciated!!

I really have no idea but can't help but wonder if it's an "emergency kill switch" for the engine mounted that close to the ignition switch?

Re: Little Info needed on 87' Regal Medallion

I was just looking at the pix with the switch marked with the red arrow. I have a 1987 Regal 185 and on mine, which has a control panel that looks very similar to yours, that switch is for the exhaust blower in the engine compartment. It should be turned on for 4 or 5 minutes before you start the engine to clear out any gasoline fumes that may have accumulated. That way if there happens to be a spark from the engine there is no explosion.

After you are in the water and moving, the fumes, if any, are exhausted by the vents. You should have a vent on one side of the boat with the louvers pointing foward to bring air in to the engine compartment while the boat is moving, The vent on the other side has the louvers poinnting rearward to let the air out. It creates a constant venting while moving and the blower can be shut off.

All that said, there should be no fumes there if everything is good, BUT, it only takes once to destroy a good boat. All the manuals I have seen say to run the blower a minimum of 4 minutes before starting the engine.
