I've been running a thread on the boat restoration forum covering my work on the floor and hull of my 14 foot Starcraft (SF-14-L) and have gotten lots of valuable help. However I've run into a problem putting the live well back together and was hoping someone really into small Starcraft boats may be able to help out. The nut on the outside of the live well drain fitting that goes out the bottom of the live well tank broke when I tried to remove it. The piping is 1" and the drain fitting involves what looks like a right angled through hull fitting with a very thin threaded flange on the inside the tank. The nut that broke goes on the outside of the tank. Here's a couple pictures that show that thin threaded flange and a similar (but the wrong size) angled fitting. The thin flange was damaged but might be able to be re-used if I could get the outside nut. I'm not sure how the thin flange fit into the threaded nut to create a seal against the tank but there must have been some kind of socket in the outside nut to allow it to fit tightly.

What I'd like to do is find replacement 1" fittings but so far all I can find is 3/4" and 1-1/8" fittings. I can probably cobble the system back together with a standard 1-1/8" through hull fitting but they don't have the thin flange that allows nearly all the water to drain out of the tank. Do any of you Starcraft Guru's have a source for these parts or a clever alternative?????

Thanks in advance. 1988 Starcraft
