I have a 96 Procraft v150B.My livewell fills up automaticlly about 1/3 full. When i take off once boat planes the livewell emptys out I constantly have to stop the boat to turn aerator on to fill back up.I have a aerator and bilge switch on the dash. Its frustrating when fishing in tourney and I have to stop to refill well. There is no leak .its seams laike the water comes out through one of the 2 ports in the back..Thx

Re: Livewell going empty

You apparently are not putting the standpipe in the hole in the bottom or inserting the plug. The reason you "think" it fills automatically is that at rest, the bottom of the live well is below the water line. Since water runs down hill, the tank fills. When you take off, the drain (unplugged remember) is now out of the water and again, water runs downhill. I can't see your boat but I'm guessing what I just described is the scenario.

x2

Also sometimes there is a lever you can flip, often from the helm, that will allow, or not allow, it to drain

Ditto on above. The standpipe sets the drawdown level of the tank. Some tanks in the fancier boats have it molded it into the tank(s) with the fill tube.
