livewell hole in hull

I have a '88 Blue Finn Sportsman 1950. Over the winter I took out my livewell that I don't use. I need to plug the drain hole. What would the best way to do that ? Thanks for any help

piece of hose over the thru-hull fitting end, with a plug in the other end of the hose.

I'd do as above... but have the hose long enough to route it up high and have the plug above the water line.

Or you can remove the through-hull fitting use a burr to rough up and feather the edges... and fiberglass patch the hole (assuming fiberglass hull) Then you have the issue of making it look decent.
