I voted and it didn't go the way I wanted, but I'm trying to keep an open mind and roll with it. I'm also hiding all my money in jars, underground in my back yard....

I'm an Independent. All indications were that my choice would not win. I voted any way. I am very concerned, wont' go into all that here. I post a bit on the Politico forums. I think Karl Rove put it pretty well just a few minutes ago on TV. He said, "I love my Country and I want my President to succeed." That make sense to me. Let's give him a chance, but with a cautious eye. I do have some real fears, for the first time on any Presidential Candidate. Remember the people have the power, he works for us.

I think at that time we still had a government, of the people, for the people.

I don't ask for anything, less is more. But the less I get, the more they seem to want.

It has changed a little bit at a time, over the years, to a government, of the international company, for the international company. Time to get rid of the high rolling special interest lobbyist playing/paying both sides of the Washington game, and out of control pork belly spending.

Back to the roots, so to say. If "America the people" does well, "America the country" will also.

But this is now getting a little political. So I will “duck and cover” on my way out of here.

Either you put your personal difference aside, for a common goal or you fly off the team. If you continue to argue, you cease to be heard.

If we can do it, I expect the leader of the free world to be able to also.

I will support President Obama and wish him all the luck he'll need to fix what's broke......................even though he wasn't my first choice. He's there and its his game plan we'll be working to now.

That said Regardless of who won election, four years from now Health care, government spending, ballooning government programs and the rest of today's issues will still be with us. Believing changing the President or even the party in control can change that is naive at best (IMO). As long as it remains business as usual in DC things will not change. Until term limits and accountability come to the hill change will remain at bay.

It wasn't an assumption on my part, it was an omission. I should have added a “s” to the word leader.

You are right the Senate and the Congress are part of the team, and if they don't start to govern for the good of America as a whole, they too, should be removed from the team and replaced, one after the other, till we finally have a group that can work together.

One person can not reverse what is facing us as a country now.

How is that any different from attacking the President Elect? This "number 3 and her side kicks" are all elected officials, and they are in office by the will of the people. Again, there's a difference between watchfullness and insurrection. If you can document that they are breaking the law or acting in a fashion that is unbecoming to their office, by all means bring that up. If you simply disagree with their politics, face the fact that others with different political affiliations than yours put them in office with the full understanding of what they stood for.

Prior to their election it's more like what they stated they stood for.
Because every one knows there are two types of politicians. Those in office and those who aspire to be there.

When President O begins to make his first radical "changes". the conservative senators and congressman will stand up and say "wait a minute you can't do that". And he will reply "yes we can" hee hee.

JFK was a great democrat. by today's standards he would be considered a conservative. lol
