The original poster will probably figure out the we Floridians will always 'bad mouth' our state...in hopes that they don't move in!

Less traffic...easier to launch at ramp...shorter lines at the Beer Barn...etc. ;)

Yeah... I usually start talking about freaking out over hurricanes to scare off some folks. Heh heh.

Rainman, don't let the weather scare you off. You'll find yourself climatized as time passes.

Please add the Tampa/St.Petersburg/Clearwater area to your list. We lived in Clearwater for 6-7 years and absolutely loved it. I have nothing negative to say about the area except that I think home prices have gone up quite a bit since we left in 2003. It's a beautiful area surrounding by water. Clearwater has a bit of a smaller city feel to it but you can drive 15-20 minutes over the bay to Tampa and enjoy everything that a larger city usually has to offer...plus you have NFL, NHL, MLB teams in the area.

I envy you, I would move back in a heartbeat.

I know MD is not part of NE, but which region is it considered? Mid Atlantic? Costal Plains?

I consider it our own little magical universe :D

Believe me, I will probably retire in Florida eventually. Md's politics are horrible, I will leave it at that.
Each winter gets worse on the bones, that's for sure.
