LMS-335c/DF help

hello everyone,i have a lowrance LMS-335c/DF and it allways shut down.Its my first time useing one and when i turn it to fishfinder its only red and orange color.i thought it would show cliff and fish but you cant see anything.Can anyone tell me what can i do to fix it thank you.

Has this unit worked before for you? Have you measured the voltage supplied to the unit? Is the connector for the transducer making good contact? Also, go back to the transducer and try to hear if its clicking. If its not making a slight clicking sound, it isn't working.

Good advice from Bruceb58 there. I also have a 335CDF and apart from some software issues with Navionics Gold charts the unit has worked flawlessly. I suspect if your checks on the transducer and power prove OK and your transducer is properly sited in clear water that your unit is faulty. Does the screen look OK in map mode? Lowrance usually have good back up so once you have run the suggested checks I would call the manufacturer for further advice.
