location of "in-hull" transducer questions

I am getting ready to install an "in-hull" type transducer in my I/O boat. My questions are...How hard is it to find a "good" location for the installation? ...and, Does it matter if it is on the port or starboard side of the keel? The illustrations in the install instructions show it on the starboard side of the keel, but I would love it to be on the port side as I have MUCH easier access to that side.

Thanks Greg...I have that document and was wondering if it makes a difference whether the trasducer is installed on the port side of the keel vs. the starboard side. All of the illustrations demonstrate the install on the starboard side, but I find that I have MUCH easier access to the other (port) side and would like to intall it there if it does not make any difference. On which side did you install yours?
