I located on old 5 hp motor that will not budge when trying to pull the rope. Assuming the cylinders and gear box are both frozen up, how do I proceed. I don't want to use this as an anchor!<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Meaux
First, pull the lower unit off. RTemove plugs, and place engine so the plug holes are "UP".<br />Pour as much Marvel Mystery Oil (available at any uto parts store) as it takes to fill the jug,and let it sit overnight (or longer,if there is still some in there.<br />Lower unit can be drained and inspected, using the process outlined in the link below.<br />heh...forgot the link..Here tiz.<br /><br /> http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=17;t=011919
