Log style to center risers

Does this look like an acceptable modification to the hose routing?

No sure where the high pressure bypass is? What you really need is one of these.

Also if you are just blocking off the ports, go to H/D and get a few of those rubber chair leg covers (like the one on the exhaust riser in the motor picture). I have had them on the motor for two years now. No issues.

Have a look at the manifold just below your chair leg rubbers... See what I see? A plug... Use one of those in the front of the elbow... looks much tidier and less chance of a failure.... Part# 22-41622. They are a whole $4ea from Merc....

I thought about using that one but on a closed cooling system that is a return. I figure they use that side for a reason. Probably something like the cold water would not spread throughout the manifold and run straight up the riser or something.

Errrr.. Don't remove the plugs from the manifold... buy a couple of new ones (the same as the ones in the manifold) and use them instead of the chair leg rubbers....
