Was at the drag boat races at Kentucky lake<br /> this weekend , one of the blown alcohol hydros hit 177 mph. Does it get much faster for this 7 second class? Looked like they were hauling *#!<br />to me.
Australian quarter mile record: Gary Kincaid (U.S.A.) in "Thunder From Down Under" top alcohol Hydro - 207 MPH, just over 5 seconds. I was at the meet, it was not ideal conditions, a bit blowy and slight chop. He wanted to do another run (his aim was 215MPH) but conditions shut the racing down. His next target is 245MPH!
