Looking at Alumacraft Fisherman 145 CS and Tiller

Hello,
Well I am looking to upgrade soon I now have a Crappie Jon Jr. It is ok but I am thinking to upgrade to a Fisherman 145 CS or Tiller. Does anyone have one or know anything about these.

The reason I would like to keep the size just under 15 feet is The boat with a motor installed will fit in my garage.

I was looking at a Polar Kraft Fisherman V142T but after looking at the hull I don't think it would be as forgiving in rougher water as the Alumacraft 145 CS or Tiller. I feel the Alumacraft's hull will cut through small waves better. I feel the Polar Kraft Fisherman V142T hull will try to ride over the same waves somewhat more than the Alumacraft.

I believe the Alumacraft Fisherman 145 CS and Tiller has a longer water line or what ever it is called. Alumacrafts V design seems more blunt than the Polar Kraft. I think that might be a good thing.

I would like to get some feedback if some of you know what I just tried to explane. Did I make any sense?

Did you end up with the 145? If so, did you go with the CS or Tiller.

I'm seriously considering the same boat, but with the Tiller. I live in Winona, MN and fish the Mississippi extensively (it's fantastic!) and I need a boat that can take some waves (from the boats using the main channel) but also can get through the "backwaters". I fish by myself 80% of the time, and it's really important to me that it is easy to trailer.

I also have an old (very old!) Sea Nymph Crappie Jon boat which does great in the backwaters...but it's almost impossible for my wife and I to switch seats (from front to back) when I need to run the big motor. I need a boat with "passing" room!

Did you find any other feedback on the 145? I've searched the internet and can find nothing.

I have the Alumacraft Fisherman 145 and love it. It can handle some pretty rough water but the best thing is I rarely use a boat launch. I fish large reservoirs in Southern Alberta and due to the wind I will pick a shoreline with the wind at my back and I just need the trailer wheels in the water and I can then physically push the boat off the trailer with relative ease. The quality is top notch and as I have mentioned I love the boat. If you have any questions just let me know.
