installation. I will be puting it on an '82 350V and I am currently using a 24 volt troller and wanted to know what I need to do in order to run a 36 volt troller. I am unsure as to how to wire this up from the bow to the stern. any help is appreciated. Also the screws/bolts/washers are missing any ideas as to what size? and is it easy to get underneath the fiberglass? I am a bigger guy with more popeye than olive oil forearms.

if I can't plane and get my boat in the shop for a month...heck why not start the upgrade on the troller and do some fishin'!

You don't need to get under the fiber glass to install a trolling motor. You use four "well nuts" which are rubber plugs with a threaded bushing inside. You drill the holes, push in the well nuts, set the troller on them and insert the bolts. As the bolts tighten the well nut expands below the deck. They work great and because they have a thick flange at the top, they also isolate the motor from direct contact with the glass surface.

As for wiring, I have a diagram I'll dig up and post in another response.

Here is how you wire three 12V batteries to get 36V at the trolling motor receptacle.
