Anyone have a line on a small gas tank for an outboard.
I want it for my kicker motor, which will run for 8+ hours on a gallon of gas. Looking to save space and weight in my 16' boat.

Don't think I ever saw one smaller than 3 gallons, Roscoe.

I suppose one could be made with some hardware from a conventional tank and a very sturdy 1-2 gallon container.

Good luck. :)

Your probably right JB.
I was going to tie it into my main (built-in) tank, but don't want to have to be turning the diverter valve every time I fire up the big engine.

Besides, a couple years ago SLOOPY told me not to. :)
( incase I have a fuel issue, it would effect both motors )

I did see a small motor once, that had a tank that hung below the cowling, on the outside of the boat.

And Scepter makes one that hangs on the inside of the transom. But it is 23" wide (too wide) and is 2.5 gallon.

Hmmmm, I think someone should make a 1.5 gallon tank with a 4 oz, measuring cup built into the cap. It sure would save a lot of space in small 10-14' boats, and would hold enough gas for a days use with a 4-10 hp motor.
