looking for a wiring harness adapter

I am looking for a SHORT version of an adapter that BRP and OMC sold to adpat an engine older than 1995 to a control that is newer than 1996( my situation)

I luckily have a harness that fits from my buddies 1987 88 spl take off, because the boat had a newer control..BUT

i already have a harness running under my floor for the 96 or newer control... to a 96 or newer engine..

I spliced in my buddies adpater harness, but it is like 20 feet long

I only want and need an adapter of about 12 "

I have all my electrical stuff into the tubing that runs under the floor, it will be a PIA to remove and replace.

I have seen what i want in a NON systems check application on Ebay\

short and connects the big red plug from the engine to the pigtail of the newer OMC controls...

but I have the systems check control..and

so...I would like to find a part number for a SHORT adapter

the long one is part # 0176711

yeah i could cut up the one I have...but id hate to do that

if i can take my time and find the right one

as it is now I have the 20 foot adapter coiled up at the transom...

no, never got a short adapter...saw a few that were about the same length as mine... I coiled up the extra and tried to seal it and stored it under the floor.

if i ever switch back to the post 96 motor, ill just pull it out...
