Hey, Bear,
Thanks for the follow-up.

Now I'm really confused!! I thought Mariner was made by Mercury. But you're telling me in 1979 it was made by Yamaha, right? So, if I want to get a Manual for this outboard do I try to find one for a 1979 Mariner or a 1979 Yamaha? Or doesn't it make a difference?

Thanks again!!

Uncle Mike
go2drmike@cox.net

Get the Mariner manual. Many of those engines were built by Yammie (powerheads) But you cannot get the parts from Yammie.. Get the Mariner Manual.

Good to hear from you, Bear!

Any good resources for manuals?

You're far enough north in Stockholm to have to deal with extended daylight and darkness, aren't you? Which is it now?

You've been a good resource. Keep in touch!!

Uncle Mike
Connecticut, US***

Hi Mike

Here is a report from Stockholm today :D
It is summer. There has'nt been any rain since beginning of july. Nice and warm since end of may. It has been 79-84 degrees F the last 6-7 weeks. The water is about 73 degrees F.
The days are getting shorter in august: sun was up 05:22 and sets 20:21 tonight.

The midnight sun and really dark winters is closer to the Polar Circle, about 700 miles from Stockholm. (Sweden is 1300 miles fron south to north.) December to february is quite dark in Stockholm too. There is just daylight from 09:00 to 02:00 in the afternoon.

I have my boat in the water from beginning of may to mid october. And it's just a five minute walk from where I live. Life could be worse. :)

Hey, Bear!

I GUESS life could be worse! :D Five minutes from your house?!

Have you lived all your life in Sweden? Five hours of light, even for JUST three months, seems like it would take some geting used to! I have enough trouble with winter here in Connecticut.

What kind of fish do you fish for up there?

By-the-way, passed info on to my nephew along with Manual references from I-Boat. Don't know if he's sent for anything yet, but the ball is in his court.

Good fishing! !

Mike
