OT, but I saw that he posted in this forum last.

He (WhoohooIt'saBoat) has a 1975 Mercury 650 that he installed a kill switch in, see here:

http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=29;t=012166#000000

I have the same motor, but a 1974. I am very interested in finding out how to install this iBoats kill switch:

using the method he did that didn't require hacking into the MerControl box.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Hopefully JB will leave this here at least for a while to see if WhoohooIt'saBoat will respond. (Thanks in advance JB :) )

--Linc

I've been thinking about installing a safty switch with lanyard too. Something else to add to the list of expenses, I mean projects.

OK, so it looks like WooHooIt'saBoat is not finding my post. Sooo, anyone else out there ever install one of these switches?

I am wondering how to do this the least destructive way. I want to figure out a way to install it 'nicely' so it looks professional like, not just bolted on, ya know?

Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Linc
