I'm looking for advice from the very wise individuals on this board. Your collective advice hasn't let me down yet concerning my boat so I'm taking it a step further. I recently purchased a drive-thru convenience store that is located on an Ohio state lake about 3200 acres in size. We are putting in a bait shop into the store and I was thinking to myself that I could carry items that the boaters who are coming may want to purchase as well. I'm thinking of oil, stuff like that, but I'm looking to compile a list of the top 5-10 things that a boater may need the moment before he gets to the dock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and in advance, thanks for all of your help.

Even better. Another question I have is where would you suggest I buy the stuff from. Is there a well known boating supply wholesaler or should I just do the Walmart thing? You guys have been a big help.

Fishing licensees, Basic fishing tackle, sunscreen, water (believe or not some of us drink it “sometimes” when we are boating), Cheep grills and charcoal, hot dogs and stuff. The little boat ramp stores around here always have a sandwich counter for all the boaters that want to take lunch with them.

Interesting that this thread should take place in one of the world's largest boating supply outlets, and the host is not mentioned.<br /><br />"Is there a well known boating supply wholesaler or should I just do the Walmart thing?"<br /><br />Have you considered using your host, who is paying for this thread, as a source??

A must have is the mini grease gun and cartridges and floating key chains with your stores name on it and cooler cups, the ones that are made out of foam rubber and you slide a beer can in it to keep it cold and make sure you put your store name on it.Charlie
