351 efi 5,8l king 1993. Part 0914484/3853249, this is a ancher/bracket for the shift assembly to hold the gear cable to the interrupter arm. Have had no success trying to find this part.Anybody????
Thanks Don, that was great help, but the shift cable anchor #3853249, that holds the shift cable "anchored" to the interrupter arm on the shift bracket, I still cant find, anybody has a used one?????
As a last resort, I think this part would be fairly easy to fabricate if you have a drill and a scroll saw. Call a plastics supplier or fabricator and ask if they have any 1/2" (or 1", depending on how wide you need it to be) square polyethylene rod. You should be able to buy a foot or so of it. If you can't find the rod ask them if they can cut you a piece of 1/2" x 1/2", or 3/4" x 3/4" by whatever length they will sell. We cut it and sell it all the time. It's also what a "cutter stick" is made of (used on paper cutters in the print industry) You may be able to buy one of those from a print paper supplier, or even a local printer. It's a durable plastic that's soft enough to cut and drill with no problems.
