looking for parts

Does anybody know where I can find a set of controls for a 100 hp johnson javelin? They do need to be for the port side.

What year is the motor? I don't know if the evinrude simplex, or johnson shipmate controls are compatible but I assume they can be switched to port side as there are holes on both ends for the cables to exit.

we have to know the year or model # to give correct advise. the 100 would not have used those controls.

sorry about that, it is 1979 johnson javelin (100TLR79S) on a 1979 charger afc with the steering wheel in the center of the boat.

Go to http://shop2.evinrude.com/ext/index.aspx?s1=cb6723025550bb2d24671b12eb6eaa7b
Click on the down arrow where it defaults to Evinrude and select Johnson. Follow the prompts till you get to the remote control. It will show a break-down and all the part numbers for everything involved.

EDIT: Hint--the control you buy must have a cable that has the same color plug as the one on the motor. I believe it is red, right?? If so, you can't use a yellow or black one.
