I had one from Fleet Farm for about five years but it's finally given up. Now I see they only sell the full size battery which is over kill for a small electric motor in our 14' boat.

Any ideas?

The only small one I've ever seen is a VMAX857. But then I've never had a need for one.

look under deep discharge AGM batteries for UPS's. They have them in all sizes.

Thanks guys!

We had the perfect small boat, trolling motor. It was a Brite Start from Fleet Farm. 31ah and it only weighed about ten pounds and cost $40. Would run a small electric motor for hours and had a handle with large terminals. Too bad they don't make it anymore.

You could try deka batteries, or give bulldog batteries a call, if theres such a thing as what your looking for they'll be able to find it.
