Hi!

I just bought a new (to me) truck that has a newer Pioneer CD/MP3 player in it.

I want some great "driving CD" music to play while on road trips! You know...those lively "get up to speed" tunes. I've heard great driving music in all varieties....from Classical to Rock. But, I don't know what to ask for/look for.

Any suggestions? Maybe some "custom made" CD's out there? I check e-bay from time to time with no luck.

People here will know...you guys never let me down :)

Thanks for reading, Chuck

It all depends on what genre of music does it for you, perhaps if you mention some of the artists and composers that you like, it would be easier for us to recomend something.

Flatt and Scruggs instumental bluegrass. Any album by Asleep at the Wheel. Santana's Caravanseri album. Footloose. A little Zepplin, a little REO, and some old Styx.

If you like rock with a edge, some of my favorites are Crossfade, Incubus, POD, and NIckleBack.

The Pink Floyd collection is good for great classic rock. I'll also second Styx and REO Speedwagon, I'll also throw in MeatLoaf, Def Leppard's "The Vault".

For lighter driving music, I'm a fan of Nickle Creek (a twinge of bluegrass and country).

If I'm in a boating mood, I also keep the Buffett box set in the truck.

I have a 6 disc full of custom burned CD's from my music collection. I can listen for hours.
