We just picked up this Condesa few weeks ago and would love to find a original tach that went in these and a clock. To go one step further we'd like to find the camper top that came out with these. Any ideas were to find this stuff? This is our first Cobalt and haven't had it out yet but we are very anxious. Chris

more than likely you'll have to have the camper top made custom.

As far as the gages, I'll keep my eye open. Looks like the dash didn't change during the production run ('78-'88) so I can use mine for visual reference....I have an '85.

Yeah I have found a place that will make a camper top for us out of the material we already have from two other camper tops. Here is a picture of the tach and the dash and I appreciate your looking. Chris

This is not a perfect match, but very close.

Your guages are Teleflex. My 77 has Medallion guages. I just did an ebay search for "Teleflex Tachometer" and found the one linked above. You should give the seller a call and see what else he might have in stock to match.

Good luck and nice boat!!

I got lucky with my 77, as it came with the tops still in their original storage bags. Looks like they were not ever used. I also have the original snap-on cockpit cover, but it got wind-damaged from towing some time or another (before I got the boat), still usable, but looks ragged at the back.

I've looked eBay every day. My tach is very different. it really does not have a bezel on it. the case just has a round ring and the glass sits on that then that is held on by clips in the square bezel. I just got the original tach from the previous owner yesterday so I'm going to try and find a place that can fix it.

You may have to get as close as you can to a match and adapt it to your outer bezel.

Be aware that your original tach might not be accurate if your distributor has been converted from points to electronic. Mine is way off now, so planning to replace it with something compatable. I'll either match face colors as close as I can, or change them all to something different. The previous owner already changed out two guages to cheap generic. (see pic)

Autometer has a "Cobalt" series guage that has blue accents and blue backlight, but not in their marine line, so the speedometer match would be an issue. I was also looking at some Faria guage sets that have brushed stainless faces that would match my stainless dash inserts.
