Hi all, I am looking for the best way(direction, technique, etc. . . to wet sand before my clear coats start going on.. Already have 4 coats of both colors on and have been using 600 to knock it down in between coats. . still has a tiny bit of orange peel, but the 600 has been great so far. . any help would be appreciated. .

Some paints are not made to be wet sanded. Assuming yours isn't one of them, sand in one direction -- not crosshatch like you would with primer or filler.

Wet sand step by step through grits up to 1500 depending on how much of a show quality finish you want.

Buy quality paper, keep it wet,and don't let the paper get clogged with debris.

Good luck.

Also, try keeping some dishsoap on hand, put a drop or two down when you start sanding; it'll keep the paper from sticking.
