Looking part number and advice

Hi,
Engine is a yamaha 75 AET.
I have ran in to a problem on strip down of water pump.
I have bought a water pump repair kit.
On the strip down i have remove (1)top housing,(2)gasket,(3)plate,(4)gasket.
Underneath this gasket the is another housing looks like the bones of the pump (cast metal).Can anybody tell me the proper name for this part.
It was broken in half and seized into position i am finding it very hard to remove.I think there was a botch repair performed on it.Its badly stuck into place.I have tried heat (no luck)
so my next plan is to drill holes trough it and try and chip it from around the prop shaft.
Anybody got any advice ?

your describing the drive shaft,not propshaft, seal housing.
oxy acytylene and patience and a large dose of luck.
I just did one last week the customer brought me AFTER they had completly destroyed the hosing leaving only the seal carrier area in the gear housing bore.
took me an hour and a lot of imagination to remove it without further damage.
