Looking to buy a 1976 starcraft holiday 21 ft. With a 165 6 cylinder engine. Engine is locked up,and was wondering if possible to rebuild that engine?

Looking at a 1976 Starcraft holiday 21 foot boat. Has a straight 6 engine that is locked up, and was wondering a rough ballpark figure on how much would it would be to rebuild that engine?

Doing the work myself. Thinking of rebuilding all parts of the drive train also.

It's a Mercruiser drive.
Did a lot of Walleye fishing out of a 21 Islander.
Try to get it unstuck before you buy any parts.
Sometimes a couple days soak in MMO (marvel mystery oil) will help free the pistons.
Worst case, remove the head, 4x4 and a 8# hammer.
Start in the second and then the 5th hole gently using the hammer.
