If your fuel is good after using snake oil treatment then that means your fuel was never bad. If the fuel was really bad then no amount of snake oil will fix it.

That's what normal E-10 does every day of the week, and at no extra charge, imagine that.

Exactly! That's why MerCriuiser engineers recommend E10. If your getting so much water in your fuel that you have to worry about phase separation you've got big time problems with either your boat or your fuel source that need to be addressed/fixed.

I don't think water is the issue. I work seasonally for the DNR, we run 4 stroke little portable pumps, for water transfer. With out fail the little hondas will have a build up in the carbs usually after running 5 gallons of fuel thru it. Granted we get 5-7 hours of run time on 5 gallons but there is a build up that is problematic. I suggested startron and we have not had problems since.

He specifically asked about a product that would bind with water and burn it, which is exactly what E-10 does. If more water is entering the fuel system than the E-10 can absorb, then it's entering the system through a leak, or being pumped in.

Some products do help with long term storage and corrosion prevention.

Anybody ever hear of condensation in fuel tanks? It happens !! Not necessarily getting into the tank by other means.Best to keep your tank topped off everytime you finish the day's activities .

I'd say most here are very familiar with condensation in fuel tanks, which if you look into it is rather controversial and may not be that big of an issue on the smaller boats and fuel tanks discussed on this site.

I don't recall the OP stating the size of his boat or fuel tank,I was just trying to bring up something that hadn't been mentioned !!

That's a big myth. The amount of air in an empty tank, even if it was at 100% humidity, is a tiny amount of liquid water.

If you had an empty 20 gallon tank and 100% humidity at 60? and the temp lowered to 40? you would have around 0.02 ounces of water come out of the air.

Adm1476 has found a new product HE likes and is using. Not much more to be done here, IMO, besides flogging a :deadhorse: from either the Pro additives or the No need for additive sides....

Also, theres no need for EXCESSIVE shouting or EMPHASIS !!!
