This wire in the picture I have the end shown in the picture. I don't have any Idea where it connects to. If you could help me and tell me where it may go so I can put the boat in the water.

from what i can see it goes into a fuse holder........is this correct? if so are either end of the wire from that fuse holder disconnected? if not, is he fuse in the fuse holder blown? the pic resolution is lousy so i cant blow it up enough to be positive........got a better resolution pic?

I have only one end of the fuse it is connected to ? The other end of the fuse is gone. I want to fix it and put a new fuse on it but I don't no where it goes. in the picture if you can see it what I circled I have. This is the only picture I can get off the web. If you like I can post a link to the picture but remember I only have the part I had circled.

I answered a similar thread yesterday. Red on Merc is 12v hot wired to the battery....may contain a fuse. Purple is 12v hot "switched" by the off/on switch on the control box.

Looks like the power line for your trim and since you can change your trim with the ignition off the wire is red and connects to the battery (eventually). Follow the large red wire (from the wiring harness) to one terminal of the starting solenoid....other terminal connects to the starter.

Merc uses this terminal as a 12v distribution point. If you can't find the other end with the other half of the fuse holder (20A 3AG fuse) go to an auto parts store, get one and hook to the terminal using a suitable crimp lug. When finished, ensure the connection is goot-en-tite.
