hi everyone please could anyone tell me the age of this long shaft suzuki dt-100 serail no, 24584 single i have looked up and far as i know it could be 70 to 73 model 7h/p please let me know if i am right or wrong
also how does the gearbox come off to change the impeller thanks

Are you sure that is all the numbers on the serial plate? Nothing more?

According to the serial i would guess, 72 or 82 or 92, what colour is the motor, decal etc, do you have a pic?

i will try photo later it has been hand painted green for reed shooting use to be white no decal stickers on it it looks like to me something out of the thirtys but like i said i will try and put photo on later, thanks

Not sure your year, but removing the impeller is not too much truble. Remove the bolts at the foot, including the one up under the foot, but not completely until you get the shirt rod loose. remove the shift rod nuts on the Starboard side of the engine and push the rod through until it comes out of the shift rod under the carbs. Then support the foot, remove the last bolt and slid the foot off. The impeller will be seen on the top of the inside of the foot. Take care with all bolts to reassemble. Also, do not hold the foot witht he shift rod as it will pop out and force you to rebuild the foot. Be sure to put some lit oil or grease on the fins of the new impeller prior to reassemble.
