Hi,

I have an older Seaswirl with captains seats an the bushings that go between the column under the seat and the pedistal that is attached to the boat are worn. Makes for a sloppy ride, yech.

I have been looking for information on seat suppliers, or interior repair to see who might supply these bushings, but have had no luck. They're are probably several hundred sizes around but I have not had any luck finding information about any of them.

I could have new ones made but wanted to see these bushings might already be available, usually more economical than have 2 parts made.

Figured if anyone would know they would be here, anyone out here have any input, (helpful input only please ;) ?

Thx,
Doc

To find the orginal manufacturer of your pedestals is going to be quite difficult... so cut your costs/time early... why don't you just pick up some new pedestals the same heigth as old ones & install on seats... done & on the water agiain... & NO "rockin" chair...

Thanks fone_man,

I had thought about the new pedistals concept, but figured this may be a common enough occurance that someone was making "standard" bushings or something of that sort. It would be much more economical for me to make my own if need be. Seems like I have already dumped a bunch of money in the hole in the water, if you know what I mean.

I will leave this post up for the weekend to see if anyone else replies then I will pull it.

Thanks again
Doc
