5.7GSI,DP-A2 outdrive.
I'm experiencing a slight oil loss from the outdrive each time I run the boat, you can see a oil sheen in the exhaust H20 when running on muffs. Is this nomal? I understand there is a H20 seal and an oil seal somewhere in the outdrive that should be checked and/or replaced, does anyone know where they are located and how difficult to change? Is it ok to keep topping off with oil for now?
I'm using Mobile 1 synthetic oil. Thanks for any opinions or support.

No leakage is normal. If it's leaking oil, it is probably sucking in water also. Time to get it checked out. Needs to be drained, then pressure and vacuum checked to locate the seal that is leaking.

Wow! Thanks for the speedy response Don. Could to much oil cause an over pressure condition? I filled it to 3/4 full on the dipstick. Is this the correct level?

As long as the oil level is on the flat spot of the dipstick, you are ok. Even if it were overfilled, the oil usually goes out the input shaft seal into the bellows instead of any of the external double lipped seals.
