Motor is a 1992 Mariner 150hp V-6 Ser# OD124111
Problem: was running fine then all of a suden wouldnt take the gas and had to paddle back to the ramp. Had been running fine all day, turned it off to retrieve a skier , went to crank it up and had about two cylinders running.
I have installed new spark plugs, new fuel filter, new water seperator, new fuel lines. Rebuilt the fuel pump.
Compression is about 108-110 pounds across all cylinders. Hooked up a spark checker and have spark to all cylinders even when running bad in the yard. It will idle pretty good but when you give it the gas it skips bad.

Any help, is appreciated.

Re: Loss of power

Don't know much about Mariner because it seems like everyone built or bought it at one time but I would definitely take the carbs off and soak them. Blow everything out with compressed air and put rebuild kits in them. Probably have junk in the jets. Don't run it like this because if you are getting no fuel to the cylinders then you are getting no lubrication either.

Thanks for the reply. Soaking the carbs and doing a proper cleaning was my plan this weekend.

Re: Loss of power

Well here is the update, I changed plugs, new primer bulb, new fuel hoses, inline fuel filter and new water seperator. Pulled off carbs and did a proper cleaning. They looked like brand new when I pulled them. The previous owner was very good on maintenance. The boat now runs like brand new. Don't know where the problem was but at least it is gone.
