I'm very sorry for your loss. I to lost my dad to cancer a year and half ago, he would stop by every morning for coffee after he retired. I still find myself putting out his cup some mornings. It will get easier with time but I still miss him every day.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, BP. I know it's hard, as I lost mine several years ago. Every day I wish he was still around and would give anything for one more day with him. He was only 53.
To live your life of 80 years plus and pass while surrounded by a loving family is what we should all pray for.
Our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Sorry for your loss. When I am ever faced with a big problem I often ask myself "what would Daddy do" . When I do as I think he would I fine peace.... he passed at age 86 after the strain from a fall breaking his hip caused his old heart to stop. I was blessed to have been in the ER when it happened..God bless/

BP, I lost my mother last year and know what hard things you have to do in the next few days and weeks as you deal with the funeral and final details of his affairs.

Be strong and celebrate his 80+ years of his life. Cherish those times which you instinctively think about picking up the phone to tell about something or wanting his opinion. I had these for several months and still do. I felt it was her living on in me.

It still comforts me to call my dad and get his VM, only to hear her voice.

Sorry for your loss. Losing your dad is a tough one. Mine died in his early 70s 5 years ago. I still have a dream about him around once a month. Just left a huge void as many can attest to. Your dad lived through many deaths of his loved ones. That is what gave me strength to watch my dad stay strong through many funerals in the past. Glad he didn't see the way I acted when I got the news of his death ..hmmm maybe he did.. Probably said good lord get a grip on your emotions son lol

Guys I can't thank you enough for the support and the kind words you've shown here, many thanks.
Its been a day and a bit of a lot of.....well I guess everything pretty much, from emotion to family and relatives to funeral arrangements.
