Lost my mooring

I download the waitlist each year, so I have them dating back to 2017. It is interesting to see the progression of the lists. Some folks put themselves on multiple harbor lists, in hopes that one of them will come through at some point.

Some names disappear off of the lists, which indicates (to me) that they:

-> Did not renew their waitlist enrollment

or

-> They got a mooring in another harbor, or perhaps at a marina.

The guy next to my mooring got a slip at a nearby harbor, so he kept his mooring and passed it onto his son (which you can do . . . only up-/down in family lineage). That way, a mooring can be in a family for generations. I may do that same, when the time comes.

Speaking of moorings . . .

I just got notice from the Harbor Master that a mooring is available for my sailboat .

Well you don't have to ask me twice. I just came back from the harbor master's office having dropped off the acceptance paperwork.

I waited 10 years for the mooring spot. Now I got to get the sailboat ready.

thats great. last I remember, you were splitting the sail boat cap from the hull. did that ever get finished?
