I had removed the rotted floor from my 1992 Celebrity190 last Spring. I had to unbolt the power trim motor from the floor while it was being gutted. The next day, the lower unit was on the ground and the floor was covered in fluid from the power trim. I assume that the hose had busted from under the engine near the transom plate.
I don't know if it was the connection or a split in the hose. I can't see the connection on the transom plate due to it being behind the engine.

Do I have to remove the engine to repair this busted hose or fitting????

The motor is a 1992 Mercruiser 4.3L with an Alpha One Gen.2 outdrive.

I recently blew a hose on my tilt. Apparently there is a transfer plate that the hoses connect to near the transom. Paste the link below.

You have to all but disassemble the lower unit to get at it. I usually do my own work, but this close to the end of my season Im opting for a mechanic. This is a little out of my league.

good luck

granted yours is a genII and mine is a mc-1...
but there's likely a trim line manifold just at the bottom of the gimble housing on the outside, very bottom, right next to the transom...

ya drop the manifold to get to the connections from the trim pump inside the boat.

the service manual pertinent to your rig would likely have exact info you need to service it..

The link was dead or incomplete.
