low comp cyl 1 and 2 on a 90hp johnson

i was wonder if anyone could tell me is if this is most likley a head gasket problem or something more mayjor .the comp.in1 and 2 is 60-90 and in cyl 3 and 4 comp. is 110-115 so can anyone give me somekind of idea thanks

The cyls 1 and 2 are the top cyls of each head. Do you mean both heads have low compression on the top cyl? 60 and 90 are both low readings. When you pull the head, you are looking for the stainless steel seal ring on the head gasket. If that seal ring is damaged so that it leaks compression, it needs to be replaced.
