when I turn the ignition switch on my 50 hp Yamaha the starter seems like it does not have enough power to start the motor. I do it a couple of times and it is the same. After I wait about 10 minutes I can turn the key and the motor will turn over just fine. any ideas?

Remove, inspect, clean, grease and tighten all battery/starter connections....humid marine environment can cause corrosion.....check health and charge of battery....

Also pull the plugs and check to see if there is any signs of water or other fluids hydro locking the pistons and keeping them from reaching TDC

It's most likely one of the items mentioned, but if the problem persists, check your battery cables for internal corrosion....water/saltwater can get inside the plastic covering and corrode the copper sufficient to reduce ability to start motor....if so, then new cables could be required...
