Low priced epoxy/fiberglass

Has anyone tried AeroMarine (jgreer) products? Someone once mentioned looking on eBay and I found the site that way. Prices are reasonable. Looks like he probably buys the stuff in bulk and re-packages it. Doesn't appear to spend a lot on marketing.

On first examination they are noticably more expensive than US Composites. They charge almost double for Cabosil and the epoxy resins seem higher as well. I did not have time to check the cloth prices.

However, I will save this link as they are a lot closer to me than US Composites (FLA vs CA) and I could get product faster, hopefully with a lower freight bill.

EDIT: Went back to check out fiberglass cloth. It appears that the above site does not deal in any cloth. IMHO, that makes this supplier kinda worthless.

AeroMarine sells only 6 oz. cloth 50" @ $6/yd. He claims it's so versatile it's the only cloth he sells.


Just trying to figure up what I'll be spending on resin and fiberglass. I've never worked with the stuff before and there's so many types of cloth and resins to choose from.

Yeah I have some of his epoxy. it's great stuff and I also got some of his cloth and chopped fiberglass.

He was really helpful and the products works great. I did not experience any blushing at all and is easy to work with considering this being my first time using epoxy.

That's comparing apple to oranges i386. US composites does not count the hardener in it's volume declaration. Aeromarine counts the hardner. He calls one gallon of epoxy and one gallon of hardener 2 gallons.

I think ya better refigure. US composites is cheaper across the board.

My first purchase was from Aero.
He was helpful and the quality was good.
Have sunce been buying from US and it seems cheaper.
The are prompt delivery too.

Not apples and oranges, just terrible math and reading on my part. You're right US Composites is cheaper and they have more stuff to choose from. Thanks for setting me straight. :$
