Low RpM OMC Cobra 3.0

Hi all,

first of all i'd like to introduce myself. My name is Philipp and i'm on a 3 year contact with an automotive supplier inthe US. This year i decided to buy me a boat. It is a 1995 17Ft. Four Winns Freedom with an 3.0 OMC Cobra i/O.

The boat runns great and i have a lot of fun with it. But I found in the spec. that the max RpM should be 4200-4600. When im driving with full throttle im only reaching something around 3000 RpM.

The boat is equipped with 19'' propeller. It is my first boat and im happy to get any feedback, what the reason for low RpM could be.

I also have a 1994 four winns 3.0 cobra with a 14.5 x 19 prop and it runs at only 4000 WOT and trimed out max speed of 35 mph. Ive herd of 45 mph out of these engines so good luck....
